Jill Brownson has over 30 years experience in the financial and manufacturing areas. Her work focuses on implementation, data conversion, user education, training, business process re-engineering and project planning. Her greatest strength is the ability to work with users to determine processing requirements to meet business goals and objectives, by understanding how any given department’s needs fits in to the overall company picture.
Jill’s extensive manufacturing and distribution experience has given her the opportunity to deal with a very broad range of distribution, assembly and manufacturing companies. Although her background has been primarily the areas of finance and distribution, she is well versed in other areas of manufacturing processes. As a Senior Consultant, Jill is able to provide value to companies by identifying the financial impact of decisions in all areas.
Jill brings years of systems implementation, training and business process re-engineering experience to Quartz Group. For the past 10 years, she has been supporting existing Epicor customers, assisting in upgrades, and implementing new customers. She has always focused in the financial aspects of functionality and implementation.
Jill has been involved in creating training and implementation materials to incorporate company policies and procedures. She also works closely with customers to successfully identify conversion requirements and coordinate the efforts required to convert data from a variety of legacy systems.
Jill began her systems implementation career in 1978 by developing an MRP system for Easco Hand Tools, which manufactured Craftsman tools for Sears. This system was designed to schedule resources to meet the strict schedule imposed by Sears by identifying potential bottlenecks and the labor requirements. From there, Jill has been involved in the evolution of hardware and software by implementing systems for hardware vendors, software vendors, and actual end-users. Her work experience includes: IT management, financial reporting, inventory control, and accounting management.
One of Jill’s customers hired Jill to be their Controller as the company had experienced fraud and misrepresentation on financials. Jill worked closely with the audit firm to bring this company in compliance and implement correct finance procedures.
Jill graduated summa cum laude from University of Arkansas with a BSBA majoring in Data Processing and Quantitative Analysis with minors in both Accounting and Graphic Arts.
